The Effectiveness of A Program for Developing Psychological Immunity among University Students

Abstract

The current research seeks to verify the effectiveness of a counseling program based on the meaning of life in developing psychological immunity among university students. In order to achieve the goal of the current research and its hypotheses, the researcher adopted the quasiexperimental approach through two experimental and control groups. The research community was identified and sampled by students of the Colleges of Science and Education for Women at the University of Baghdad. The appropriate psychometric properties of the research tool and its application to the experimental sample, the following was found: 1. There are statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in psychological immunity and in favor of the experimental group 2. There is a clear effectiveness of the counseling program used in the development of psychological immunity among the members of the experimental group.
