This study examined the impact of the global financial crisis and economic openness on the financial performance of Iraq banks listed on the Iraq central bank.This study used the panel data analysis of fifteen banks for the time 2015-2018 analysis to test the study hypotheses. The study concluded that the global financial crisis had a negative and statistically significant impact on Financial performance as measured by (return on assets, return on equity, net profit per share, market value, share price market share) while it had a positive, but not statistically significant,effect on the ratio of dividends to market value. The study also found the economic openness has a positive and statistically significant impact on the financial performance of Iraq banks.
