Abstract
The past one decade in this part of the world has witnessed an astonishing increase in the number of publications dealing with the diffusion and adoption of innovations as it concerns information and communication technology (ICT) relevance and implementation in school and colleges. These publications include a considerable number of theoretical rather than practical approaches as well as large assumptions on the concept of innovation and diffusion implementation as it affects instructional techniques especially in Nigeria Schools and Colleges. Several attempts have been made during the past few years to synthesize their vast and rapidly growing body of ICT media facilities. For the most part however the diffusion literature, including most of the summaries that have thus far appeared is not presented in such a form as to be directly usable by the source of a practitioner. The paper will attempt to bridge the gap between the diffusion literature theories and the present trends of the educational change race i.e. educational reformations. It further examines the need for an innovative integration of ICT media facilities using identified strategies through which they can be used to improve the quality of instruction given in-out of schools, with little drain on the nation’s resources
