Abstract
Intellectual property (IP) laws play a crucial role in fostering innovation by incentivizing creativity and protecting the rights of innovators. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the relationship between IP law and innovation, examining definitions and types of IP, international and national legal frameworks, historical perspectives, and case studies. It explores challenges such as balancing access to knowledge with IP protection and addresses emerging issues in IP law, including technological advancements and their implications. The paper concludes with policy recommendations to enhance IP regimes in the face of evolving global challenges and opportunities.
