Abstract
Santipur has a glorious past. There was a day when all of Bengal used to be proud of the glory of Santipur. Santipur’s customs, rituals, education initiation were ideal for all of Bengal. Many renowed Pandits were born here. The whole country was enlightened by the light of their knowledge. Their achievements in every field of education, literature, art, culture, social service and nature oriented have left a bright mark.
