Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive and critical assessment of the future of Indian government and politics in three dimensions: India’s geopolitical challenges in 2022, India’s domestic reforms and initiatives, and India’s role in the post-COVID-19 world. It uses a qualitative and comparative approach based on secondary sources and content analysis. It reveals that India faces a complex and dynamic future in terms of its government and politics. It shows that India has made significant progress in some areas, but also faces serious challenges in other areas. It shows that India has a vision and a strategy for navigating the changing global landscape in the post-COVID-19 era, but also faces uncertainty and complexity due to internal and external factors. It shows that India has a potential and an opportunity to play a leading role in the world as a bridge-builder, a soft power and a responsible stakeholder, but also faces constraints and competition from other actors, especially China and the US. The article also highlights some of the implications and recommendations for India’s future. It hopes to contribute to the understanding and exploration of the future of Indian government and politics, and to stimulate further research and debate on this important and fascinating topic.
