Abstract
The article traces the process of the origin and formation of modern medical institutions in the Ferghana Valley during the period of domination of the Russian Empire. The author, on the basis of archival documents and other historical sources, provides material on the opening of hospitals, outpatient clinics and pharmacies in cities such as Kokand, Old and New Margilan, Andijan, Namangan, Chust, as well as in counties; about the doctors and paramedics who worked here, the successes achieved and existing shortcomings
