TEACHING TRANSLATION AS A HUMANITIES SUBJECT: A PRACTICAL APPROACH IN TRANSLATION PEDAGOGY

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyse and compare a number of different methods of instruction for translation that are currently being utilised in a variety of educational environments. When it comes to the curriculum of formal training for translators, the theoretical components of translation teaching methodologies and their relationship between language studies and translation theory are presented. This is done in order to prepare translators for their careers. This is done with the larger objective of the training in mind at all times. According to the findings, there are three unique ways to translation: the grammatical approach, the text-linguistic approach, and the interpretive approach, in that order. The results of the case study suggest that translation is a potentially exciting talent that might play a significant part in the acquisition of FL. Furthermore, the research gives hints on how and why language instructors may maximize the use of translation in the classroom. According to the results of the research, there is a need for more investigation on the effect of translation in language classes, with a specific focus on the expectations of language instructors and the successes of language students.
