Abstract
The test of hydrolysis of Carbendazim indicated fall in Active Ingredient content by hydrolysis found to be 33.04 % in acidic buffer (pH 4.0), 52.24 % in neutral buffer (7.0 pH) and 100 % in alkaline (9.0 pH) buffer after 5 days during pre-test at 50ºC. Taking the support of the results of pre-test test, definitive experiment was executed at 30±0.5ºC and 50±0.5ºC to assess the hydrolytic nature of Carbendazim wherein the reaction was monitored for the potential metabolites. During the experiment, 2-aminobenzimidazole was only found to be metabolised which was identified against its reference standard and was quantified during the entire period of hydrolysis experiment across different pH buffers which is a marine xenobiotic metabolite.
