Abstract
This is an investigation into the theories, philosophies, and practices that underpin early childhood education,and it is based on a substantial quantity of evidence. This study investigates the ways in which early childhood education programmes collect and use data, the ways in which these programmes would like to use data, the ways in which these programmes could use the data that they already have, and the challenges that these programmes face in their efforts to collect and use data.
