Abstract
At a time when the attention of the world community is focused on the fight against the global COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, the growing tendency of people to feel lonely makes it necessary to study this phenomenon. Statistics show that the predisposition to loneliness is 45% in France, 46% in Austria, 47% in Italy,48% in Israel and 62% in Egypt. Consequently, the scientific study of the socio-psychological determinants of loneliness is of serious importance for the psychology of Uzbekistan.
