Abstract
As patients work to preserve a healthy dentition throughout their lives, saliva is essential to oral health. It serves
as nature's main line of defense for the oral environment and is crucial for safeguarding exposed tooth surfaces.
Saliva protects the body's external layer of enamel, whereas odontoblasts and the dental pulp provide interior
defense for dentin.
Salivary testing is a non-invasive alternative to blood and urine testing, and the availability of at-home testing
kits has allowed anyone to use this diagnostic tool to track their own health. In addition to highlighting current
usage and potential clinical and research applications of diagnostics based on oral fluids, this study discusses
what saliva may tell us about overall and dental health.
Clinical relevance always, the necessity for more invasive therapy is reduced with early identification. It offers
good dental health in a renewed state and prevents oral health illness at an early stage. You can experience the
harmonious and rejuvenated state of good oral health if you adhere to and follow regular professional care,
preventative maintenance appointments, preventative counseling, good home care and oral hygiene, and diet
habits.
