Abstract
This paper aims at identifying and describing about the psychological problem between Mother and Child. Psychology is the study of human behavior and mind. In this story the protagonist Ma and Jack they both were kidnapped in a small room. It is a symptom of psychological problem. But Ma faces certain problems which affects her life badly. This paper aims to analyze the theme of Motherhood. The novel Room is related to Jack who became a captive victim and manages to escape from the room. It examines the effort of mother figure and freedom. This paper focuses on how Ma attempts to define her motherhood and discursive space that Old Nick construct.
