PROBLEMS FACED BY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN FAR-FLUNG AREAS

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to analyze the perception of Teachers who are working at far-flung areas of District Haripur. The objectives of the study were (1) to identify the challenges face by Elementary school teachers working in far-flung areas of District Haripur. (2) To identify the impact of challenges and problems on the professional growth of professional. The population of the study comprised of 150 Elementary school teachers of District Haripur through random sampling 150 teachers was selected as sample. The instrument used in the current research was questionnaire. The data were collected by researcher through survey. The findings of the study revealed that teachers face problems in far-flung areas of District Haripur related to lack of basic facilities of life, absence of educational instruments, transport issue, accommodation and feeling of isolation. There were also certain challenges associated with teachers working in far-flung areas. Lack of teachers training, low chances of career growth and poor working condition were some of highlighted problems faced by the teachers in far-flung areas. The study recommended that Ministry of Education should facilitate teachers in far-flung areas and necessary step should be taken by Government for teacher’s career growth and improving working conditions in far-flung areas.
