The study aimed to determine the metacognitive behavior of college freshmen in mathematical problemsolving. Specifically, it sought to determine socio-demographical characteristics of college freshmen; their attitude and performance in mathematics test, metacognitive behavior, significant difference in metacognitive behavior,meta-perception in solving Mathematics problem as to awareness, cognitive strategy, planning and self-checking and the relationship between their metacognitive skills and select variables
