Abstract
Parenting style is taken into great consideration for the brought up of children and it leave enormous effect on whole life of children. The Focus of the current study is also on some of styles of parenting which children perceive about. In the current study parental psychological control is taken as a predictor of maladaptive perfectionism among toppers and average students. A sample of 300students from different colleges and university of Haripur
including both male and females reported that parental psychological control have a significant positive correlation with maladaptive perfectionism. However, different attributive variables; gender and academic achievement have
significant impact on parental psychological control and maladaptive perfectionism
