Abstract
One of the most frequent consequences following orthopaedic and other procedures is a surgical site infection (SSI).
The treatment of bone injuries has advanced substantially in recent years, thanks to advancements in orthopaedic
surgery procedures, and surgical therapies are increasingly being adapted to treat various bone illnesses that were
previously managed conservatively. SSI is made more likely by increased orthopaedic indications, the complexity of
orthopaedic surgery, and the use of implants in orthopaedic surgery. Once infected, patients may face an extended
stay in the hospital, greater discomfort and medical costs, as well as a slew of other complications.
