Abstract
This paper focuses on the Nostalgic Trauma in the contemporary female Indian novelist Anuradha Roy’s Sleeping on Jupiter .The protagonist Nomi’s Nostalgic remembrance and Psychological sufferings is discussed in the paper. Due to war, the protagonist Nomi lost her family . She was taken to ashram .There she was abused by a spiritual man Guruji . When she grew up she started to suffer mentally, even after her move to Norway. Later, She returns to Jarmuli again for a Documentary research and she remembers the incidents which took place in her childhood which was so terrible and haunting her mentally. Her haunting memories finally turned her into a ferocious women who atlast takes a bold decision to face all the traumatic fear
