Abstract
This paper presents the results of a survey on the adaptation of ICTs in higher education in Algeria. The survey was conducted using a self-administered online questionnaire sent to teachers attached to various universities (all fields and specialities combined). The results revealed that, despite the promising potential of these technologies to improve teaching and learning, the reality of their integration remains complex in Algeria. The introduction of free digital devices, teacher training and the digitisation of university campuses could overcome the challenges associated with the use of digital tools, helping not only to integrate ICT effectively into higher education, but also to make full use of the opportunities it offers.
