Abstract
INTRODUCTION:
Adhesive dentistry is a swiftly emerging revolutionary branch in the modern dental field. It basically functions by lessened reliance on the traditional mechanical factors like undercuts for retention. The term ‘Adhesion’ is derived from the Latin word and refers to the condition by which two surfaces hold on to each other by interfacial forces (Valence forces or interlocking forces). Bonding agents are materials of low viscosity that form a thin layer of film after being applied on the tooth surface.Dentin bonding involves 2 steps: 1. Conditioning of dentine, 2. Priming of dentin.
