Teacher or Guru is the most important person of one’s life. Teacher is the one who shapes a child’s life to turn him/her into a good and upright human. Teachers are nation- builders. In India, though our population is increasing but the number of teachers has decreased considerably. This is what the data says. The posts of teachers are vacant. The attraction for the teachers’ job has decreased in younger generation. These are the gloomy signs. For a country like India, where we do need to take education to every doorstep, we just can’t afford this. Our country’s progress is dependent on education. And how can we even think of taking up this journey without competent teachers. This makes the situation really challenging.
