Abstract
This research examines the role of Islamic law as a comprehensive ethical framework in safeguarding children from the risks of the virtual world, a task that necessitates sustained institutional collaboration across three key pillars: the family, religious institutions, and educational institutions. By analyzing the interplay of these institutions, the study offers a holistic perspective on how the Sharia system fosters legal and moral safeguards for children in the digital era. Furthermore, it highlights Sharia’s commitment to prioritizing the child’s best interests through its foundational principles and rulings, which advocate for the protection of the five essential interests (maqāṣid al-Sharia): faith, life, lineage, intellect, and property. Together, these principles aim to cultivate a secure digital environment where children can thrive in well-being and safety, shielded from both moral and existential threats.
