Investigating the Relationship between Professional Ethics and Mental Health of Khorramabad Social Security Hospital Staff

Abstract
Introduction: Today, many countries in the industrialized world have come to this maturity that disregarding ethical issues and evading social responsibilities and obligations lead to the loss of the firm. For this reason, many successful organizations have felt the need to formulate ethical strategies, and have come to believe that they must penetrate an ethically-based culture. Objective: This study aims to investigate the relationship between professional ethics and mental health of Khorramabad Social Security Hospital staff. Materials & Methods: This is a descriptive-survey research and it is an applied research. The statistical population of the study consisted of all staff of Khorramabad Social Security Hospital with total number of 720 official and contracted personnel of which 248 individuals were selected using Morgan table. Simple random sampling method was used for data analysis. 23Spss statistical software and descriptive statistics (distribution and percentage of frequency and mean) and analytical statistics (Kolmogorov-Smirnov version) were used. Results: The results indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between formal and contracted staff and hospital mental health with professional ethics in the organization and there is a positive and significant relationship between social responsibility, scientific responsibility, social belonging, and automation on mental health of employees. Conclusion: The results show that professional ethics in the workplace can be of great benefit to organizational leaders and managers. These considerations emphasize the human values that underpin ethical management and can create a competitive advantage for employees in the organization and lead to mental health
