Impact of Work from Home on IT Employees considering the productivity, work life balance and colleagueship

Abstract
The IT industries are one of the effectively managed sector during COVID 19 pandemic due to their flexibilities
and adroit strategies like putting into the practice of ‘work from home’ model that paved way for a convenient
work culture in which the employees could work without fear amid pandemic. This paper reveals various
impacts of ‘work from home’ on IT employees. The design of research followed in this study of is descriptive in
nature and the data has been collected using survey. The sample unit consists of the employees, working from
work of various IT companies in Tamil Nadu and are from different levels in the organization. The sample size
is around 110 and the data is analysed using percentage analysis. The result reveals the level of the employees’
willingness to work from home, the colleagueship and productivity of the employees and the level of work life
balance of the employees. The study also provides suggestions to overcome the negative impacts that are caused
while working from home.
