Covid -19 is one of the worst pandemic in the history of mankind. Improved medical facilities and low potency of virus have helped mankind to sustain and survive but at the same time various lockdown and restrictions imposed by governments worldwide on industrial and commercial activities have negatively affected economy of the country. Real Estate is one of the important sectors of the economy and housing is one of the basic needs of mankind. This paper is an attempt to study how real estate responds to this pandemic and it also shows impact of pandemic on real estate prices in major metro cities of India. It is observed herein that the real estate prices of the selected metro cities have not been affected and largely shown very good resistance over COVID19 disruptions. On the other hand, many locations in the selected metro cities have consistently shown upward trend of real estate prices.
