Pages: 5904-5905
Abstract
Individuality and protest are frowned upon in Indian society, where the woman's position at home and marital happiness remain paramount, and individualism and dissent are seen as foreign concepts. The mind of an Indian woman's deepest thinking is typically impacted by aggressive powers that unfairly govern her acceptance and admission of loss, leading in a variety of behaviours such as protest, retaliation, and violence. The contemporary world has altered as a result of advancements in education and modernity. Literature has long been a useful instrument for analysing gender relations, sexual disparities, and other issues concerning women's search for identity in patriarchal societies
