IMPACT OF SCM PRACTICES: A STUDY OF INDIAN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES

Abstract
One of the most crucial factors that contribute to the competitive advantage of any given firm is the supply chain of the manufacturing industries. Organizations use SCM practices to manage their supply chains. Operational performance is a company's capacity to lower the time it takes to turn over finished goods, the time it takes to make purchases, the cost of its inventory, and its managerial overhead, while maximizing the use of raw resources and distribution skills. The aim of the study was to understand SCM practises' impact on organisational performance of companies. Further, a questionnaire was used to collect sample from 50 companies in Indian manufacturing industries. Regression analysis is applied in order to bring out results. Researcher found that SCM practices have an impact on the manufacturing companies as they improve the performance and ultimately brings profitability.
