Abstract
Project management methodology is standardized by the organizations to a certain level whereas the flexibility is
maintained for minimizing the variations in which the projects are executed. Muller (2015), has determined three
dimensions of project management methodology which includes the comprehensive methodology set, applied
relevant methodology as well as supplemented missing methodology. The conflicting results of the studies present a
limitation on the kind of impact on the management of the project methodology on the success of the project.
Therefore, this current study under investigation acts as a bridge and studies the impact of the management of the
project methodology on the success of the project. A sample was 60 individuals were chosen from manufacturing
industry through convenient sampling technique. The results of descriptive and inferential statistics shows that
factors of project management methodology were having significant positive impact on project success while
applied relevant methodology was having more contribution towards project success. The study recommends that
the companies are advised in the establishment of the project management office for standardizing the processes
related to the project and to facilitate the resource as well as knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
