Abstract
The health sector is one of the most sensitive sectors of society because it is directly linked to
human activity. Physical, mental and psychological safety are among the fundamental objectives of the
health care system. For health policies to be effective, a direct response to a disease, although it is the
cornerstone of health, is not enough. If medical interventions are limited to treating diseases, the battle
will inevitably be lost from the outset. It is therefore necessary to intervene from the outset in the
orientation of the determinants of health and public health indicators, targeting all of them. Some have
a positive impact and others have a negative impact on the health of individuals and groups. Through
this research paper, we will try to diagnose the health policy in Algeria by studying the most important
indicators of the health system based on demographic indicators related to public health and other
indicators related to infectious and chronic diseases.
