Happiness Components in Happiness Curriculum from Students’ Perspective: An Analysis

Abstract
It is often said that happiness is a state of mind and it is an emotion for which human beings strive their entire life. They pursuit happiness in the form of desires that bring them joy and contentment to them. In simple terms we can say that happiness is a fundamental goal that humans seek out from their achievements, relationships, different experiences, fulfilling desires, dreams and wishes etc. absence of which may make a person devoid of happiness and transform them into a mere joyless and barren individual. Happiness itself is a broad term that is subjective in nature and cannot be defined in particular terms. Because for different individual, it means something different but individual do seek happiness in some or the other form throughout their lives that even transcends the boundaries such as age, caste, class, gender etc. Children too need happy environment for their holistic growth and development. They are the future of country who deserve to fulfill their desires and reach to their potentialities being happy and content. The happiness curriculum implemented by Delhi government was brought with the mindset of providing students with a journey to sustainable happiness. The present paper provides the perspective of students on the happy components in happiness curriculum.
