In an effort to shed some light on the situation, requests for previous cess revaluation records were filed at the district collectorate. It was discovered that there were no such papers available for any time frame prior to 1911.The report of the Land Revenue Commission, which was established by the administration of Bengal that was not separated in 1938, is the only existing source that covers this topic in some detail.
