Abstract
The reform of the Algerian education system is associated with the exponential emergence of new technologies. The integration of these technologies into the school environment is essential in the face of a generation nicknamed “digital natives”, who according to Prensky (2000) use digital technology in an intuitive way. These factors of modern society imply new needs and an upheaval in educational practices by forcing the Ministry of National Education to create a favorable environment in adaptation with these new data. The desire to integrate new technologies into the Algerian school environment converges towards a reform of the classical school to a modern school which corresponds to the criteria of modern society. The change consists of the dematerialization of the school textbook, the transition from the paper version of the school textbook to the digital school textbook. The objective of this paper is to show the importance of digital integration in Algerian educational establishments.
