The aim of present study deals with the development of novel oral colon targeted pellet-based tablet formulation was developed using natural polysaccharides such as gellan gum, synthetic anionic polymer as Eudragit S-100 and model drug is used asnaproxen. In this research a time controlled and pH sensitive colon targeted pellet-based tablet of naproxen was established to avoid local side effects and drug release in upper gastro intestinal tract and releasing drug in the colon. The pellets were prepared by extrusion-spheronization method and then these pellets were compressed with granules to develop pellet-based naproxen tablets
