The article examines the political events that led to the formation of the Fergana Ulus by Amir Temur,including the causes of the separatist movement led by Odilshah Jalayir and Amir Hamdi, the process of suppression of the this uprising, and its subsequent administrative changes in the Fergana Valley. The issue of the formation of a separate ulus in the Fergana Valley under the leadership of Amir Temur's second son Umarshaikh Mirzo, which its administrative center was the city of Andijan, is analyzed on the basis of primary historical sources
