Abstract
Nomophobia is the irrational worry that one will exhaust all of their available mobile phone minutes. The modern definition of Nomophobia is the dread of exhausting all of one's available digital assets. 220 college students were chosen using a successive sampling procedure and a non-experimental/exploratory study design. The risk of acquiring nomophobia was evaluated using a rating scale and a self-reporting checklist to evaluate mobile use patterns. Analysis was done using SPSS 16.0 version. The data was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. According to the results, the majority of students (68%) use their mobile devices in a typical manner, and the vast majority (83%) of participants (low risk of acquiring nomophobia) did as well. The probability of acquiring nomophobia was somewhat positively correlated with the way one used their mobile device. It is stated that instructional material and sensitizing sessions might aid the pupils to cope up with this addiction.
