Abstract
Pentavalent vaccine remains one of the known effective preventive measures against five (5) deadly vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) among infant yet, uptake of pentavalent to arrest the high morbidity and mortality rates have been found to be low among individuals who are still reluctant to vaccinate their children especially in developing countries like Nigeria. The reasons for this can be attributed to the mother’sbelief about the causes of these diseases, the supposedly method of prevention which is vaccination, and their educational level
