Abstract
Purpose: The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in disrupting the educational system globally leading to a
massive transformation in the entire teaching-learning process. As a result, the teaching scenario has
significantly undergone a sea change with the classroom landscape shifting from the real to a virtual one. The
pandemic called into question the effectiveness of the new system concerning the most vulnerable learners – the
physically disabled students who have been disproportionately affected by the virtual classrooms. Online
learning platforms must cater to the needs of those who are 'disadvantaged' or ' invisible ' in our educational
system, and the online resources must accommodate the larger needs of students with disabilities.
Methodology: The article unfolds and analyses the impact of the pandemic on such students and attempts to
assess the efficiency of the Suggestopedia method in teaching vocabulary to differently-abled students.
Findings/Result: Suggestopedia teaching will go a long way in addressing the existing inequities experienced
by vulnerable children in the present educational system evolved during the pandemic, so that virtual learning
can be made a pleasurable and invigorating experience for these students, thus enabling them to realize their
dreams for a better future.
