DR. SUDARSHAN KUMAR
Abstract
Technology, which facilitates digitalization in many areas, has assumed central importance in modern life. Governing systems evolved into e-governance as countries shifted to digital economies. The primary objectives of the digital India program include the implementation of digital infrastructure, the provision of government and services on demand, and the empowerment of citizens through the internet. The government is investing more on technology to combat graft and illegal financing. The process of India's digital transformation has already started, but its full ramifications will not be realized for some time. With this plan, India may meet the Sustainable Development Goals set out by the United Nations by the year 2030. This research helps us grasp the monetary impact of Digital India, evaluate the degree to which its objectives have been attained, and design an SDGs framework that capitalizes on the success of Digital India. Challenges and obstacles during program execution include digital illiteracy, little coordination, slow internet connection, and inadequate infrastructure across different agencies. This article's primary purpose is to detail the many initiatives taken by the Bihar government to implement digital systems in areas as varied as agriculture, land records, the ration card management system, the money generated by smart energy infrastructure, and many more. Because of the government's recognition that education is essential to progress, initiatives like Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), Swayam Prabhav (Self-Paced Learning), and Sodhganga (Digital Library) have been launched. The purpose of this research was to examine the merits, pitfalls, and difficulties of digital India. In order to encourage individuals to accept digitization for their own progress, this research emphasizes the beneficial outcomes it has had on people and the improvement in their level of life.
