Abstract
Given the extreme competition in the aviation industry, understand the selection criteria has become a critical concern for airline companies, particularly to low-cost carriers. This research examines the selection criteria for Chinese low-cost carriers (LCCs) passengers. A total of 360 valid questionnaires were collected and analysed. The findings reveal that attitude, price, safety, and frequent flier programs significantly influence passenger decisions to travel by LCCs, while service quality is not considered important impact factors. This research offers new insights into the preference of LCCs passengers, along with managerial and academic implications
