Abstract
COVID-19 pandemic has become a major challenge in the 21st century. This century has also seen increasing urbanisation worldwide, especially in the developing countries like India which has led to tremendous social, environmental and economic pressures on cities. Consequently urban planning, governance and management in India are severely stressed and Covid 19 has brought this truth in a more blatant manner. In response to the partial and total lockdowns during pandemic, many people across Indian cities have varied experiences and responses relate to the service delivery, governance and management. This research paper aims are to understand impacts of the pandemic on cities and to highlight major lessons that can be learned for post pandemic Urban Planning,Governance and Management
