Abstract
Introduction: A growth or tumor on the pituitary gland is known as a pituitary adenoma. Pituitary adenomas are slow-growing benign tumors that do not spread to other body regions. When they grow large enough, however, they can put pressure on adjacent tissues, such as the nerves that connect the eyes to the brain, causing pain.
