Abstract
This article discusses the coverage of economic and cultural traditions in ethnological research during the years of independence (on the example of the Fergana Valley). The economic characteristics of the population of the Fergana Valley are covered in the study of S. S. Gubaeva on related topics. Her work examines the later periods of the ethnic history of the population, the interaction of different ethnographic and national groups in the valley within the material and cultural, lifestyle, traditions and ethnic and cultural assimilation in the provard.
