Aim: To compare the Cytotoxic effect of chamomile and clove mouthwash with commercial mouthwash Materials and Methods:The nauplii were exposed to different concentrations (5, 10, 20, 40 and 80 μL) of Chamomile and clove mouthwash and left undisturbed for a time period of 24 hours. Results: Chamomile and clove mouthwash, even at higher concentrations (80ul and 10ul) shows 90% of live nauplii when compared with commercial mouthwash. This study showed that maximum mortality was noted in chamomile and clove concentration (80μl and 10ul). Conclusion: The formulated chamomile and clove mouthwash was found to have effective cytotoxic effect.
