Abstract
Introduction: For several decades, the most predictable aesthetic restore of the anterior teeth was performed with complete crowns, but restorations of the remaining surrounding structures with detrimental effects on the pulp and periodontal tissues are the most intrusive. Thus, laminate veneer restorations were proposed as an alternative anterior cosmetic reconstruction with a more traditional preparation for tooth structure. The performance of laminate veneers is largely dependent on an appropriate tooth reduction in order to create enough room for the manufacture of correctly contoured ceramic veneers without reducing the tooth structure.
