Abstract
Early Algerian poetry embraced openness and drew inspiration from the sources available to it. Although the link between the poetic and the narrative has always been strong, early Algerian poetic texts also engaged in a dialogue between genres and reflected their interaction. The poet’s use of narrative techniques contributed to enriching the text and deepening its semantic layers. Notably, this approach succeeded in achieving aesthetic dimensions within the poetic work and fostered an affective engagement on the part of the reader. Accordingly, this article aims to explore the features of narrative aesthetics in selected examples of early Algerian poetry.
