Abstract
Introduction:
Chelating agents were introduced into Endodontics for the purpose of preparation of narrow root canals. They were found in 1951 and were introduced into Endodontics by Nygaard-Ostby in 1957. EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra-acetic acid) liquid solution was the first used chelating agent, chemically to soften the root canal dentin and to dissolve the smear layer, which results in increasing the dentin permeability for the purpose of obturation. The main aim of this study is to create and test the existing awareness on chelating agents used in RCT among the dental students
