INTRODUCTION Amyloidosis was probably first noted by Bonet, who documented a patient with liver abscess whose spleen contained immersible white stones. A number of heterogeneous syndromes characterized by protein deposits in the form of insoluble fibrils in the patient’s tissues Is termed as systemic amyloidosis .There are several types with varying symptoms.Treatment is accelerated towards decreasing the amount of the involved protein.This may sometimes be achieved by determining and treating the underlying cause.
