Abstract
This paper uses the FEM method and the ANSYS software to provide a numerical analysis of an industrial thickener storage tank. For this, the initial three-dimensional model of the structure, together with the mechanical properties of the materials used, are entered into the software; meshing and boundary conditions are applied, and then, following the initial analysis to find the critical points of the structure, a final analysis is conducted, and the results of the different models are provided.
