Abstract
Stress is a general demand placed on an individual's body or mind to adapt to a physical or psychological change. The
term stress is used to describe the emotion of a man who is forced to change from routine to self-wanted working in the
workplace as a result of opportunities, constraints, or requests identifying with potentially critical business outcomes. The
impact of workplace stress on workers' physical health, mental well-being, and workplace effectiveness have become
increasingly documented in recent years. Stress is an issue that must be identified and addressed in various professions,
including the transportation industry. The study's sample size has been set at 392 employees by the researcher. The
respondents' primary data was collected through interview scheduled. ANOVA was used to analyses the collected data.
According to the study, employees experience occupational stress primarily as a result of government rules and
regulations. The study also shows that occupational stress and psychological causes of employees absenteeismim in tamil
nadu state transport coprporation at Kumbakonam ltd. Employees believe that changing management styles can reduce
workplace stress and employees absenteeism
