Abstract
India's population is growing, and its expanding share of older adults is particularly notable. Currently, the growth rate of the number of older individuals (age 60 and older) is three times higher than that of the population as a whole The need to study for older population is indeed a requirement in modern-dayscenarios. In old age, people experience profound changes and face important challenges, including modifications in their roles, retirement, and the death of loved ones (friends and family members). Age-related challenges and transitions can have considerable social, psychological, and physical consequences that may lead to significant changes in quality of life (QOL). The present study aims to examine the cognitive status and level of quality of life among healthy older people living in the community.Total sample of 480 healthy older population was drawn with 240 male and 240 female population from the rural and urban areas of 4 districts i.e., Kadapa, Kurnool, Annanthapur and chittor in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. Results will be discussed in the light of psychological implications
